Discover the history, heritage, myths and legends of America’s Main Street, Route 66, during this speaker presentation.
Called simply Get Your Kicks on Route 66, this program is for ages 12 and older. Ken Busby, Executive Director and CEO of the Route 66 Alliance in Oklahoma, will share his passion for the Mother Road. This will also be an opportunity to explore the Johnson County Museum’s newly-installed main exhibit, “Becoming Johnson County,” featuring the 1950s All-Electric House and a 1955 Chevy inside the exhibit, as well as a photography exhibit, “Mother Road Revisited: Route Sixty-Six Then and Now.” Light refreshments will be provided.
The cost for this two-hour program is $15 per person for ages 12 to 59, $14 per person for ages 60 and older, and museum members are $9. This cost includes admission to the museum.
